Privacy policy

What we collect

• Account: your email address, and your password if you choose to set one (stored hashed). You can also sign in with a one-time email link or with Google. If you use Google, we receive the name and profile picture Google shares with us.
• Founder profile: the information you enter, such as your name, startup name, website, location, stage, sectors, target regions, the amount you are raising and a description.
• Workspace content: the investors you view and save, your shortlist and pipeline, the rounds, notes, tasks and activities you record, and the names and email addresses of members you invite.
• Usage records: how you use the app: the pages you open and how long they are active, the investors you view and for how long, the links and buttons you click, your searches and filters, your device type, browser and time zone, and sign-in events. Usage records are collected by Suparaise itself; we use no third-party analytics or advertising tools. We never record what you type into fields, or the contents of your connected mailbox.
• Billing: your subscription status, plan, renewal date and Paddle customer reference. Your card and payment details go directly to Paddle; we never see or store them.
• Technical data: IP address, browser and device information in server logs, kept for security and troubleshooting.

Why we use it

• To provide the Service you signed up for, including your account, investor matching based on your profile, and your shortlist and pipeline. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
• To take payment and manage your subscription through Paddle. This is also necessary to perform our contract with you.
• To keep the Service secure and fair, prevent fraud and misuse, and fix problems. This is in our legitimate interest in running a reliable service.
• To understand how the Service is used and improve it, and to help you when you contact support, using your usage records. This is in our legitimate interest in improving the Service.
• To email you about your account, billing and important changes, as part of our contract with you. We send marketing emails only with your consent, and you can opt out at any time.
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share your profile or pipeline with investors.

Information about investors

Suparaise shows publicly available information about investment firms, such as their investment focus, published mandates and announced funding rounds. This information comes from public sources. Where it includes the names or professional roles of individuals at those firms, it is limited to information they or their firm have made public in a professional capacity. We process it on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing a fundraising research service. Anyone who would like their information corrected or removed can email admin@suparaise.ai.

Who we share it with

• Members of your workspace can see the workspace's shared content.
• Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record, processes payments, tax and receipts under its own privacy policy.
• Railway hosts the application and database.
• Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
• Resend, our email delivery provider, sends sign-in links and account emails.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

Our service providers may use your data only to provide their services to us.

Where your data is stored

Our database is hosted in Singapore. Paddle processes payment data in the United Kingdom and other countries where it operates, and Google and Resend may process data in the United States and elsewhere. As a result, your data may be processed outside the country where you live. We rely on contractual protections with these providers to keep it safe.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and workspace data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days. We may keep anonymised information that can no longer identify you, such as aggregated usage statistics, to improve the Service. Billing and transaction records are kept for as long as tax and commercial record-keeping laws require. Detailed page activity is kept for 180 days. Product measurement events may be retained longer to measure cohorts and outcomes; direct account links are removed when an account is deleted. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure, and a first-party session identifier for product measurement. With your permission, a separate first-party analytics identifier links public website visits to sign-up. You can decline website analytics or change your choice below. We do not use advertising cookies. Paddle's checkout may set its own cookies to process payments and prevent fraud.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

• request a copy of your personal data and information about how it is processed;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data deleted, or its processing restricted;
• object to processing, including for marketing, and withdraw consent at any time;
• receive your data in a portable format.

You can edit your profile at any time from the Profile page. For anything else, email admin@suparaise.ai from the address on your account, and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to the people who need it, and each workspace's data is kept separate from other workspaces at the database level.

Children

Suparaise is designed for founders and businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18.
